The end of 2024 and beginning of 2025 have changed the landscape of our lives.

The message of reconciliation to God, each other, and all creation -- words we have spoken for years -- sound different echoing off the cliffs of these deepened divides in our nation.

Not only is the landscape different; our traveling companions have changed. Life and death have added, shifted, and taken people away from us. we ourselves are not the same after going through such defining moments.

Given these changes in context, company, and ourselves, we must ask our shepherd where to go from here. If not, we risk going forward with no sense of who we are in God. We will wander aimlessly, prone to try everything  or be overwhelmed and do nothing. If we don’t ask God for direction, we will find ourselves merely demanding our own way.

What we need now is what we always need: to do exactly and only what God is asking us to do in this moment. We need the Holy Spirit to move among us and show us when and how to meet the challenges of this time and place. We believe each of us – you included – have a God-given role to play, each with our own strengths and needs. Together we can take the sort of risks that come with following an endlessly creative God.

Join us as we spend more time listening for God’s word for ourselves and for each other. We are doing our best to follow his lead engaging in new settings for prayer. Fresh faces are leading pop-up groups and there is space to try new ways of knowing and caring for each other and our community, even as we remain faithful to ancient practices.  We are open to surprises and learning to look for God at every unexpected turn. God will shepherd us so that we work in harmony with him, with each other, and with what he is doing in the world. He will lead us through to a good end.
